Another good textbook is by Stutzman & Thiele

At first, you must be familar with EM course.
The more basic concept the more easily you can learn antenna design.
What I mention above is my experience.

I've read Balanis, which is good for learning... but if you're a designer... this may not be enough...

FULL-TIME **Antenna** designer out there, please speak up... what book is the best ? I meant Antenna designer, not EM, microwave or circuit designer... Just pure antenna designer....

Also, I heard AnSoft Designer has some good tutorial is that true ?
