Antenna loss resistance

Hello everybody!

Here is a new topic about antenna. The input resistance of an antenna is divided into a radiating part and losses. Furthermore, the losses are composed of a dielectric part and a skin effect part. I found in the literature that the skin effect losses can be modeled using a so called HF resistance whose value is:

Rhf ≈ 1/(σ δ conductor_perimeter)

where σ is the conductivity of the material and δ the skin depth.
But for the dielectric loss, which is probably related to the tanδ of the material, i found no approximate formula. Does anybody know something about this subject?

I know that the dielectric loss will be

Pld=ω×ε×tanδ×∫|E|**2 dv

perhaps you should first know the EM field distribution,and then with a integeration
you can get the dielectric loss power.[/tex]
