CDMA handset Rx/Tx improvement
I am new to this forum and a definately a newbie to CDMA.
Can anyone here advice me on how to improve the Tx/Rx of CDMA Handset?
and
What's wrong with the handset if the Rx is so weak but the Tx seems no problem?
Thx for your help :)
Hi,
How did you determine that the Tx is OK? I feel that the TX is transmitting more power than required and hence the BS thinks that the handset is close by and reduces it transmitted power and hence the RX seems week.
This may not be your problem at all! the base station might have a problem. (but I cannot cofirm)

Could be a crossmodulation problem. Reason could be too much leakage of TX signal into RX input (bad rejection of the duplexer), or low IIP3 of the LNA. In CDMA receiver the IIP3 of the LNA shall be ~ +8dBm.
What do you mean by the RX is weak and the TX is no problem. Perhaps a nice meal and some good vitamins? Is your Receive sensitivity poor? What is the Receive sensitivity compared to the -104 dBm spec? vfone had some good comments. How are you testing this?
