Connecting two cables with AWG 24 and AWG 30 with the same impedance

Hi i would like to know what might be the problem if i couple 2 cables of AWG 24 and AWG 30 together, which has the same characteristic impedance to send a data at 1Mbps data rate... Is it can be done....

If you are sure both cables have the same chaacteristic impedance, regardless of their AGW, you can connect them together without problems caused by mismatch ..

But please make sure about the interconnect capacitance of both capacitor

Generally, as you know, smaller is wire section (AWG30 rather AWG24), higher is the attenuation.
Also the pitch and the wounding sense (L or R) may affect the crosstalk between TX pair and RX pair.
