Cadence and Antenna Design
Can anyone please tell me of Cadence is suitable for designing and analysing RFID tag antennas at 13.56MHz?
I'm looking to do 2D and 3D plots of the magnetic field.
Thanks for your time

You may require to use a 2d/3d electromagnetic solver to analyze your antenna design. Do not think cadence has this capability to solve the antenna structure. Can use Ansoft HFSS or CST Microwave studio or IE3d or Remcom XFDTD.
Hi: In fact, you may be able to do antenna design from Cadence Allegro + IE3D very soon. IE3D will have the Cadence Allegro Link formally released. The beta is in fact released on the IE3D 11.14 on the web. On the Cadence Allegro to Ie3d Flow, you can open a .brd file. Select the critical nets and reference nets you are interested in. Then, you can select BUILD MODEL and the Link will create automatically an IE3D model with ports defined. This may sound too simple. Howeer, it is like this simple. IE3D users and interested users can download it from the web. To run the link, you do need Cadence Allegro. The formal release of the IE3D Link will be available within one month. Regards.
