Significance of ADS Co-simulation

Who can tell me the significance of ADS Co-simulation? and how to built such simulation in ADS?

If there are some papers on ADS co-simulation, that will be great!

You can with co-simulation
1.export/import data from/to ADS to/from Matlab during simulation
2.process the data with Ptolemy and Matlab at the same time
3.simulate algorithmic part of system in Ptolemy and gate level part in Envelop (or transient) at the same time
There are ADS examples how to do this
