resistor parasitics
--X--
This would be hard to find. I remember while ago AVX gave me by request S-paramaters for some resistors. Finally was useless because the frequency was below for what I was looking for. Sometimes I did my own S-parameters measurements for resistor parasitics in particular microwave applications.
Is a company that is claiming that using their software you can extract element parasitics of any kind (resistors, capacitors, inductors, ICs, etc)

Thnaks for giving this information.
Well, I just need a rough idea that when we used any SMD resistors in the circuit, what are the parasitic elements associate with it and how they are arrangd.
For ex. in case of SMD capacitor (MURATA) RLC are in series and in case of SMD inductor (R and L in series whereas C is in parallel to them)............. I got their values and configuration from MURATA website.
Now I am in search of SMD resistors but couldn't even get a idea what parasitics to be used and how to be arranged in order to simulate in any simulation software.
I am using three SMD resistors
1.1K, 1.3K and 102ohms
Any idea?

I did some resistor measurements a few years back and fit it to a model. I don't have the data anymore so I did it again using the Modelithics Select 0603 resistor that is included in Microwave Office. I have the full CLR library and it's very accurate but I won't post any more results (you'll have to purchase it). I have used it on thin film and PCB networks and they predicted the resonances very accurately. Anyway this is for a 0603 resistor on 15 mil FR4. Pad parasitics are included so changing the substrate will change the model. Also, results past 5 GHz probably need a distributed model. The Cs were fit for R=10k and L for R=110 ohm.
You can also come up with a SWAG since you know the pad size (shut C to ground), length of component (0.018 nH/mil rule of thumb), electrode to electrode spacing through alumina (leakage capacitance).
Try www.modelithics.com. Their models are unique in that they include the effect of the substrate that they are mounted on. This effect can be large. The founder, Larry Dunleavy, I have known for many years. He is very very good in this sort of thing.
Well, Thanks .......... This is very good useful link.
How can I get models from modelithics. I mean whether I have to purchased the desired model from them or they are available in commercial design softwares like ADS. How can I include these models in my design?

Click on "Products", then click on "Request Trial". Also feel free to contact Modelithics directly, OK to mention that I sent you.
I can't access that websit ?
Can anyone access it ?
yes, just a typo in the URL
