phased array equations needed

I need the equations or other methods to determine the amplitude and phase of the point sources in an equally spaced linear array to obtain a peak and a null at any specified combination of azimuths.

Do you mean the expression/fourier transform ?

I need to find the amplitude and phase of each isotropic antenna to produce the field with a specified arbitrary azimuth to a null and a peak at the same time while taking pot luck on where other peaks and nulls occur.

This may be the Fourier transform, but since only two points in the azimuth are specified, it probably is not. The array has many more elements than two.
