Help,I am design a GaAs PA,I need the models of pads and via

Hi,all

I think if I use the models of pads of FET and the models of vias in

simulation schematic, the simulated performance will be more precise?

But I donot have the models, Could anyone can give me some information to

establish or construct the models?

I think the Electrical model of a via is like this:

o-------Lvia---------o
.....| .................|
....Cvia ........Cvia
.....| ................ |
ground .....ground
the Lvia is inductance, the Cvia is capacitor. Counld anyone can give me the

values of Lvia and Cvia? The PA works at Ku Band.

And could anyone can help me to construt the model of pads?

Hi, Caofan: I am not sure whether there is any good formula for pads and vias. For MMIC applications, many of those formulas may fail or may not be accurate anyway. You should try to use full-wave EM simulators. You can try the free evaluation license of the IE3D from Zeland (www.zeland.com, where I am working). Regards.
