Narrowband inteference and frequency-selective fading

They are not the same but the consequences are almost the same if the transmission uses a narrow bandwidth.
Narrowband Interference usually is a continuous wave (CW) near the center frequency of the receiver when Frequency Selective Fading represents dips or fades of the signal due to multipath reflections.
Both can be improved widening the bandwidth, or using Spread Spectrum.
