I studied Antenna throry, How to design antenna practically?
I studied almost well the basic antenna theory, now i want to start to design practical antenna that's easy to implement, compact in size, good in features..
It will work for digital data transimission link with bit rate up to 1Mbps, and fc ≈ 100MHz...
Where should i start from? Is there certain steps that're to be followed?
Please give any comment,
Any information will be helpful,
Thanks in advance,
Ahmad,
Dear ahmad_abdulghany,
Try as much what other people would start off with, a patch antenna.

hi,
a p.a.t.c.h antenna is a great way to start. Easy to design, easy to manufacturate, easy to test.

Okay, Isn't there any tool that can help me to design such antenna?
I want to learn some steps to follow..
Thanks in advance,
Ahmad,
tools for design antenna:
HFSS , IE3D , CST , XFDTD , Feko
some introduction manual you can search here .
You can download for free zeland IE3d, and it works as long as you keep an Internet connection active.
With this software you can simulate not only planar antennas, but also antennas with wires.
good luck
every think you study in the antenna thery is practical. you must know that nothing in thery different with practical problem. design a practical antenna need a lab for test your design.
goodlock
I have a good prepared lab in my faculty, and i can use it, there's 3GHz Agilent Spectrum analyzer, and there's 100 MHz Oscilloscope, Power supplies, function generators, ... but I may be unable to use power , microwave sources, meters and VSWR meters...
Isn't that enough a bit? I think it's enough..
Ahmad,
