Hi.. i am designing a microstrip patch antenna using EBG structure.. I am using IE3D software for my simulations..
The antenna without EBG, is supposed to resonate at around 15GHz..
Can anyone tell me how i can find the band of frequencies which my EBG structure stops ? Can i use IE3D to find that frequency range (ie this EBG) ? If so.. how ?
Or is there any other way to do it ?
Thanks..

sumit007: Yes. You can use IE3D for it. EBG structure is normally big. For s-parameters, you also can't use periodical boundary condition on it because of difference in the center element. The latest IE3D 11.5 comes with the IE3D FASTA and it should be able to solver EBG structures using much RAM and simulation time. I am Jian from Zeland. Thanks!
