Hi all,
I have a planar coil produced on some flexible substrate. I need to measure the inductance of this above 10 MHz but without using an impedance or network analyser.
However, I do have a function/signal generator and digital oscilloscope that I can use.
Can anyone shed some light on a method I could use to measure the inductanc eof the coil using actual measurments (voltage or current).
Please Help, I am in urgent need
Kind Regards

1. Make a series shunt resonator of your coil with a known capacitor.
2. connect one end to the source and the other to the oscope.
3. find frequency where signal has the least loss.
4. with known resonant frequency and capacitor, you can now calculate your inductance.
does this method work at high frequencies?
What about the effects of the frequency on the capacitor?
