I have the following S-Parameters
S11=1.2<-60 S12=.2<120 S21=3<60 S22=.7<-60
I am using the K-Δ test to check for stability
I calculated Δ to be .75<-76
I calculated K to be -.30625.....?!? Is this possible. I have checked all of my formulas and calculations thoroughly.
When I calculated the center of the stability circle for the load
I get -13.77<121. It doesnt make any sense... What am I doing wrong?
The formulas I used are
Δ=(S11)(S22) - (S12)(S21)
K=(1-|S11|2 -|S22|2 + |Δ|2) / (2|(S12)(S21)|)
S11=1.2<-60 S12=.2<120 S21=3<60 S22=.7<-60

S11 reflection coefficient of 1.2 is strange. Normally 0<S11<1. Seems you have an unstable design..
