If i designing an antenna at a cpecific frequency, can i translate it for another frequency by dividing its dimension by the numer equal to the new frequency. Is this process is called(frequency scaling).
Theoretically the dimension on an antenna is in wavelengths measured in meters.
For example a 500MHz dipole having dimensions approximately 60cm, if you reduce the dimensions by half (30cm) it will resonate approximately at 1000MHz .
But this is just an example and is not valid for all antenna types, because other antennas do not have only resonant elements (can have passive elements, capacitive loads, etc) and these cannot be scaled.
