help design gsm phone directional antenna

i need help to design an antenna to be used on gsm phone this antenna must directional with best gain to make a link between to location average 30 km distance and with usual material
any software or paper to do that

Compute the desired Antenna Gain by the link budget and then deide what antenna do u need to design.

Hi,
You can build a directional antenna to reach that distance, and the transmitted signal from your phone will reach the BTS. I wonder if the BTS transmitted signal will reach your phone, since BTS does not have directional antenna for this purpose. Probably not.

Array of 3 x 1 or 4x1 (depending on how much directional u want your antenna) microstrip antennas.. it's easy to build.

I am attaching the antenna that I am using for GSM 900MHz to boost-up the signal. It is a Quagi antenna that give me a little bit more bandwidth compare to a standard Yagi antenna (covering both TX and RX GSM900 band)
Beware that in GSM you cannot be more than 35km far from Base Station (Timing Advance = 63 ; due to the bits delay).

Please note that it is not possible to break distance more than 35 km between mobile and GSM due to Timing advance technics . That is standard's limitation .
And it is valid if no extended range BTS is used (which is very rarely used with 2 physical timeslots allocated for one connection on BTS ) .
