Hi,
http://www.users.bigpond.com/cool386/6tr/srrx.html
Referring to the link above, there's a circuit for a FM reciever, could someone please explain to me how these 6 transistors function?
I understand the using IC like TDA7000 will do the job, but i'm trying to build a reciever using only transistor and other analog component, maybe some minor ICs.
If anyone have some other better FM reciever circuit could you please sent me the links? Thanks
On my second questions, what's the different between an audio amplifier, power amplifier? it seems like both of them do the same job.
Thanks
Alex

I think the author gave a full explanation about this circuit.
It is a basic super-regenerative receiver using a quench circuit (Q6) to stop the oscillation of the LO, minimising in this way the wideband audio noise, that usually super-regenerative radios has.
Q1 is RF amplifier, Q2 has double function (mixer and detector), Q3 audio preamp and filter, Q4 audio driver, Q5 audio final.
