What does that mean?!!!

时间:04-10 整理:3721RD 点击:
In a datasheet of a coil, ther's the following:
L1: Two turns #18 Wire,1/4" ID, 1/8" Long

I saw also somethings about coils such as SWG and other things related to cupper wire radius and type, what are them?

Tahnks alot,
Ahmad,

Hi,

the turns indicates the number of turns or swirl of the wire of the coil, #18 is the diameter of the wire used (see Wire Gauge standards), ID is the inner diametre of the coil, and the last item you type is the length of the "coil" (not the wire).

Hope this helps.

Thank you for help,

After some search, i found also that SWG ≡ Standard Wire Gauge .. and it represents manythings related to copper wires...

What i was interesting in is the corresponding wire diameter,

and i found this conversion table:

Ahmad,
