How to Calculate the Channel Length Modulation Coefficient?

Hi all, today one of my colleagues asked me a question, that is how can we calculate the Channel Length Modulation Coefficient, this kind of question really confused me, most of the time I just pick up it and use it, but I don?t know how we can get it. Could you help me?
