how to simulate transient behavior of transmission line by

Hi:

i want to know how to simulate transient behavior of transmission line by using matlab? is there any tutorial or reference, thank you for any information.

Model the transmission line with lumped RLC and write down a dirrefential equation and solve it with matlab. That is what I think

i think u can use the RF tool box in matlab now , to define the TL , and then use get the step response of it

or another way get the frequency domain response , and use the reverse FT , to get the time domain response

One way would be to use Laplace or fourier transforms. Write the transform for the transmission line as a black box. If it is a 50 ohm lossless line, it is just a time delay. Then input a step, impulse, whatever to the system, and do the inverse transform to get the time response.
