about fractal antenna

fractal antenna is a very interesting type of antennas , it attracts many people's attention. the sierpinski gasket antenna is one that i am interested in and i want to research it further, but i have some doubts:is fractal antenna practical or can it really do a good job? is there some commercial fractal antenna? I just want to know whether it is hard to resarch fractal antenna and some latest development of fractal antennas,it is welcome to give your comments here.

I did some research on fractal antennas as well. It is very difficult to get some useful information. Some companies (e.g. fractus, fractenna) advertise their fractal antennas but I have never seen one. There was somebody from such a company visiting us in our comany some years ago... just bla bla nothing specific. Only announcments but no samples, measurements or details.
I had some very good results with spiral antennas that worked very good and offered a great bandwidth. Skycross is using meanderline antenna principles in a kind of patch antennas. Just enter Skycross and meanderline antenna in a patent search site to read their patents. It is intresting and it seems to work bcause they are selling such antennas. They offer a good bandwidth as well with a good performance.

Hi I've been working in fractals for 4 years now but till now I'm not certain of the results. I can't say that fractal design has better ccs than other traditional design compared to gain. but may be the reduction in size worth it?!
