Hi there,
I'm now model a rectangular patch antenna and using quarter-wave transform for impedance matching. I had been calculated the dimension of the patch. My results for fo=10 GHz, εr=2.33, h=0.157cm are
L=0.84cm
W=1.16cm
Lqw=0.52cm (length quarter-wave)
Wqw=0.11cm
Wf=0.47cm (feed line to match 50Ω)
The problem i faced is the feed line width which i get 0.47 cm. But i checked the connector contact only 0.5 mm. Is it any problem if try to solder it? And I stacked here now. Any advice please tell me. Thanks.

For data provided for you I've calculated feed line width Wf=0.5cm. So your 0.47 is good. The small diference wan't make any problems.
I don't see what's the problem. You simply solder the connector to the microstrip line. COnnector contact doesn't have to be of the same dimensions as the microstrip.
Hi, vfurlan:
Oic, thank for your advise.
It would be better if you can get a "flat" type of connector for soldering
