What is the difference between ASITIC and ADS?
Does anybody know what is the different between ASITIC and ADS and which tool has a better modelling capability?
thankss
As I know, ASITIC is a free FEM simulator mainly used for characterize integrated inductances. Agilent ADS is a very complex microwave simulator and it contains System, Circuit, Momentom simulators, as well.

ASITIC: Analysis and Simulation of Spiral Inductors and Transformers for ICs
http://rfic.eecs.berkeley.edu/~niknejad/asitic.html
ASITIC is based on numrical techniques to design on chip spiral inductors ,
but ADS momentum is 2.5 D EM simulator , with 3D metal extension so it can be used to simulate any planner structure and get S parameters
so u can use it to simulate the spiral inductor , but u need to describe the technology metal layers

is ADS as acurate as asitic? which one is more accurate in inductor modeling?
ADS is more accurate than asitic , but ADS will require that u describe the technology stack , and the substrate , and then make the EM simulation
but sure EM simulation will consume much time than asitic , but it is good to do it , u will learn nice new things
