please help me!

im doin with my engineering project. pretty tough and big one. im struck in one place - i ll hav 3 lights may be infrared. now these lights shud b tracked by a sensor or receiver. and the motion of the light shud also be noticed by the sensor. truea bit tough. even my teacher cud not help me. can anyone please help me.
please. this project really means a lot to me. my career! and only edaboard can help me now!please do consider my request. cos i dint get any much respose elsewere.
