Localization of mobile phone by internet
adding of course an electronic card
Hi,
It might be possible if u use a mobile than has built in GPS and it has its own Operating System.
1. U can simply write your own Visual C appliation and load into that Mobile.
2. That application takes the GPS Coordinates and sends to a desired Mobile Number.
3. Then interface the other Mobile to the PC which reads the SMS From Mobile Phone and stores it.
4. So in the last u can access that PC if it is Online.
Hopefully this will work.
Do something like this and share it for the other users.
Best Regards.
In fact the telephone operators already offer a rough localization service which is used by the police for example to track lost persons or criminals. It uses the signal strength of the mobile phone as it is received at the different basestations it surrounds, and uses triangulation for calculating the position. Unfortunately the accuracy is quite bad, and GPS outperforms this method tremendously.
Note that WLAN also has a similar locationing system where the basestations are access points. Again the accuracy is low.
