Defected ground structure modeling

Hi

Can anybody explain me how to model DGS in Microwave Office? What simulator I have to use? Electromagnetic simulation?
I try to use this simulator. What I have to do? I have dielectric layer. On the top of the dielectric I need to put a microstrip line and on the bottom - copper layer with DGS. Right?
I'll be appreciate if you can explain this in detail or upload some project-examples.

Dear Manju. I being work on the DGS, simulated and got few results. Now I gotta design of Power divider with Hairpin DGS. I want this PDF file to ensure some of the result that I did and want to develop more.

I reduced the 23% area in the BPF design, Can it possible to reduce further, how? But the suppression of harmonics is difficult(but reduces when increase the Dimension of EM structure. And when increasing from 100 to 500 divisions, there are few changes nearby the resonant frequency.

I have the possible cut-off and resonant frequency data-base for different DGS sizes, By which trade-off I could evaluate the design equation.
