output impedance measurement of oscillator
Is it possible to measure it by network analyzer?
Yes and no. If you think of your oscillator as a black box, with a voltage generator and a internal impedance, then elementary circuit theory says that you get the maximum power transfer when the load resistance equals the oscillators real part impedance, and when the load reactance cancels the oscillator's imaginary part impedance.
If you are talking about an unbuffered oscillator, unfortunately, it is by definition a large signal device. That means that its internal impedance is a function of what the load impedance is, and can change very dramatically. Some sort of load pull, or better harmonic load pull, measurement, is the most accurate way to do it.
if u tried to measure the inpuedence of oscillator with network analayzer "u will find it -ve value at the oscillation frequqncy"
