How to design monopole antenna?
could anyone tell how to design monopole antenna...in term of formula how to calculate...etc....
tq :)
The simplest monopole antenna consists of a vertical element with an optimal length λ/4 on the ground plane. The radius and the shape of the ground plane will affect the radiation pattern and input impedance of the monopole antenna (usually r >>λ/4).
the simplest equation to calculate the radiation diagram of the antenna
is the dependence on sin(theta).
Thete is the angle from the vertical line (monopol axis) to the connecting
line antena feed point to the observation point.
E proportional sin(theta). exp(-jkr)
k is the wave number (2pi/lambda) and r the distance antenna to
observation point

How does the antenna diameter come into play in monopole designing?
I know it wont effect the antenna pattern but would effect the antenna impedance.
The monopole diameter will affect the antenna bandwidth.
Bigger the diameter, larger the bandwidth.
here is a document 'bout it

it is good, and you can read it.
OH FUCK
