Design of a patch antenna

Thanks for the replies....I am trying to implement a paper on patch antenna where the patch is of inverted U shape and Ground plane is W shape. I am enclosing the paper as attachment. The author has taken the value of L as 60mm and Width to be 1.5L. He has also taken h=3mm. Using the normal equations we arrive at the length using width and h. I am not able to understand how he has arrived at the values of the patch and what equations can be used since the substare is air. Can u please help me to find the dimensions of the patch
