lna design
I want to design UWB LNA in ECC mask[6 -8.5GHz] ( not FCC mask 3.1- 10GHz) .Could somebody suggest what should be the starting point.(like the topology , matching etc).
Thank you.
search for IEEE papers & conference papers on google.
:)
Study the papers & find out your requirements.
then select components. & start....
yes thank you but I need some suggestions
your question is vague, so answers will be also vague.
Please be specific about your question/requirements.
Ok ,
My target is 6 - 8.5 GHz.(~ 20 dB gain)
I am thinking using of Current reuse technique( or cascaded stage) for topology.
But confused with input matching whether go for common gate or LC ladder matching.
Here my target is low power consumption.( As you know CG consumes high power but has good wideband matching on otherside LC matching takes large silicon area bcoz of inductors and should have high Q).
And also as I am noobie in RF designing.I always get confused how choose values of
passive components,I know this a broad question!(like bypass capaciotr,RF choke,RF feed---------)
And also when designing LC ladder at input matching how to know load from input sideof amplifier,so that I can find L and C values using smith chart.
Thank you.
I know these may not be 6-8.5GHz but will give you idea.
Find more Ieee papers on this topic.
even if you find papers of references provided in these papers, it will do your job.
I can not guide you on silicon design.
Thank you Abhishek for your reply and files.
I will go through them.
Any body with your suggestions plz post here.
I think knowing all your ideas and suggestions would greatly help me.
Thankyou.
