Hi,

Where can I find an avago diode model useable in ADS software?

I don't find something interesting in the manufacturer website but I am sure lot of people uses AVAGO devices.

In ADS I found DIODEM1 in the Device-diode library but I have to fill each parameters, it is enough to simulate accurately a manufactured diode?

I want to design an envelope detector operating at 2GHz with this diode.

Can I simulate with "TRANSIENT" or "ENVELOPE" in the library panel?

I tried to simulate the following circuit with ADS software:

the input signal is sent using a transient source and I want a 40MHz BW input signal, I set up the input signal :

I don"t know if it is correct but it looks like a modulated signal.

and at the circuit output I get :

What do you think about this detector? Why the output voltage level can"t reach zero at 12,5 nsec?

yes thank you but how to increase the detector performances, I mean how to get a detection more precise, reaching the max output voltage of the input signal?

Simulating with "Envelope" is more efficient than 'Transient" in my case?

For Power detector I guess you need to do HB simulation also. It is very important.
There are many application notes & few papers on this topic.
Search on google.com you will find it surely.
Also simulation you have done may not work in actual because you have to consider many things such as you have to use microstrip components,bends etc.
Also there are many methods to improve sensitivity such as biasing the diode or use impedance matching network etc.

If you want peak detection then increase the resistor value across the capacitor as capacitor will hold maximum voltage.
