rf engineers
I want to know the difference between an analog designer and an RF engineer?
Are RF engineers involved in both RF electronics, antennas and Microwave design?
Or do they only do network planning and optimisation?
Do RF engineers work in Mobile Operators (ex. vodafone), Vendors and subcontractors? Is it a good job (better than a field engineer)?
thanks,
In general, the boundary between analog and RF is where the parasitics of the layout and packaging have to be considered.
I mean: do RF engineers belong to electronics or electromagnetics?
I am interested in electronics but I want to work in the telecom industry, and I think that RF is the link.
But you didn;t answer my question-> do they work at vendors ? If they work in a mobile operator company, would they only be concerned with planning and optimisation?
Fast Food.
Seriously, the one that I know work as RF design engineers for avionics, communication, and test equipment manufacturers. If the device has wireless capabilities, then some RF engineer was involved in the design.
Most RF engineers work in RF lab!
