Can Doing RFID reader work out?

i am doing RFID based attendance system project. i decided to do RFID reader on my own? i solidly have 3 month for my project presentation. I am get this idea from this http://instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/Cou...site/index.htm . Can i finish my project and whether making own RFID will be accurate
