where can i find design rules in cadence?

hi, i m drawing the gilbert mixer layout in cadence, where can i find the design rules? and how to draw layout for passive components resistors, capacitors in cadence? plz halp me out in this,its urgent........

which foundry are you using? what type of cap/res are them?

0.18um technology,gpdk 180nm, normal capacitors n resistors.How to draw the layouts for this. while extracting layout from schematic only the nmos's are extracted not the res n cap.

you've got mimcap and moscap for capacitors. you've also got polyres and polyhres for resistors. I don't understand why your tool cannot extract/recognize these elements.

by the way, this kit can't be taped out. it is just for educational purpose.

i hav used the normal resistors,can i use the poly res instead of normal ones?wahts the dif in between these.

what do you mean by normal resistor? Different types of resistors (eg metal, diffusion, poly, etc) give you the different resistance per unit sq, voltage coefficient, temperature coefficient, etc.
