Hi,
always in matching the i/o of th transistor i have 2 valid points on th smith chart
I wonder which point to select and why the shortest or th longest line length?
thanks

shortest is always best--gives you more bandwidth for the match. You only go longer if you need too, like you want to use a lumped capacitor in shunt instead of a lumped inductor which you do not have on hand, etc.
short distance is less length hence miniature circuit.
long distance is nothing but bigger circuit ( can be same in case of discrete solution) so huge space consumption.
Depend on case people go for short or longer.
people go for bigger circuits though miniature solution available. do you know why?
