what is the best device to use same antenna for both transmitting and recieving?
Transmitter power is about 75Watts.
Frequency of operation: 435-440 MHz.
Connectors: N-type (F)

hi,
Is circulators protect the receiving section while transmitting?
we are using same antenna for both transmitting and receiving. is there any other device to make this possible?
Tranmit power:upto 100W
frequency of operation: 435- 440 MHz
Connectors: N-type (F)

Use a relay, it's the simpliest way.
If your requirement is transmitting now and after you switch off TX you need to receive, (May be on the same or different frequencies) you may use a Relay for ease or a signal switcher with some diodes and capacitors.
In case you need to receive and transmit with the same antenna at the same time, on different frequencies, you may consider a Duplexer tunned to the required frequencies.
Cheers
If you are transmitting OR receiving, but not simultaneously, a PIN diode switch is probably the simplest solution.
If you are transmitting and receiving simultaneously on similar but not identical frequencies, use a diplexer.
If you are transmitting and receiving at the same time and on the same frequency, use a circulator.
Brian.
Circulator will not help and diplexers with custom design is the solution.
