I am in the process of selecting a avilable design/circuit for my home made DIY Spectrum Analyzer to use on my Ham Radio stuff.
I have gone through the artical by "Wes Hayward, W7ZOI, and Terry White, K7TAU" and liked it. But not sure if any better designs/circuits avilable.
Can anybody help me in choosing the avilable design and where I can find it ?
Need the SA to work in 1MHZ to 30MHZ range
Thanks in Advance.

Thats pretty low. I would look around for a cheap but good oscilloscope module for a PC...something with perhaps a 100+ MHz sample rate. I would then put a 30.1 MHz lowpass filter in front of it, and use software to do an FFT and get the spectrum.
Check http://www.scottyspectrumanalyzer.com/ and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/spectrumanalyzer/ for a pretty nifty DIY effort.
