Help needed Starting off With RF

I'm looking to purchase these ics to transfer some small amounts of data (transmitter http://www.micrel.com/_PDF/micrf102.pdf) (receiver http://www.micrel.com/_PDF/micrf008.pdf). Are these two ics compatible with each other? They appear to be (both in range of 300-440mhz & transfer/receive via OOK) but I'm really not sure. Thanks!

check the selection guide from micrel, i haven't seen the reviver ic code in this list.
