Shortwave radio with TDA1083?

Hello everyone. I found a TDA1083 chip in an old alarm clock, and I read on its data sheet that it works from 300 KHz to 3 MHz, so I thought I might try to make a radio that tunes from 1.6-3 MHz. I was thinking of using this design. I don't know a lot about electronics, so the only change I would know to make would be the tuning coil and capacitor. Would I need to change anything else, and is this design suitable at all?
why would you want to change those values ?
it already covers the freq range that you require :)
leave it as is and all will be well
cheers

You're right, that circuit says it covers 300 KHz-3MHz. I had it confused with the datasheet.
