un liscenced frequency for voice communication
I tried to contact WPC also...But they didn't tel me anything concrete..on website www.wpc.dot.gov.in no information regarding voice communication is there..
In India, you may use almost any frequency for experimental / educational purpose. But the Indian Telegraphic rules says, power output of such transmission shouldnt exceed 0.5 watts. The transmission should not be continuous and the person experimenting is required to confirm that his transmission on that frequency is not interfering with any other local authority who is licenced to use any such equipment. (May be police, customs, or any such authority.) There are monitoring stations in almost every city who monitors and scans such transmissions or intrefernce caused.
Anyways, you are free to use maximum of 5 watts power on 27Mhz band which is free as citcizen band and you are bound with above mentioned points. Cheers
