How to reduce minor lobe power?

Hi All,
Iam working on synthetic apertures and my simulation result shows that the minor lobes in synthetic apertures have significant power compared to that of linear arrays.
Please advice me as to what thechniques can be employed to reduce the power of side lobes in synthetic apertures.
