i have no experience in laser world , but all i'm trying to do is to modulate in fiber optics , and i know that the laser isn't an ordinary wave . please can you guide me in this ? i'm using laser as carrier wave.

Have a look at your laser diode data sheet. The laser is basically like a diode but it can have a very high threshold current. Until you reach the threshold current you get almost no light out, then the light increases rapidly with a small current increase. There are quite a few chips around to control laser diodes which would be the easiest way, depending on the frequency.

Basically, a single mode laser would be represented exactly by a linear polarized sine wave. I guess, that's what you mean with "ordinary wave"?
Analyzing a laser wave more detailed, there are properties like coherence length respectively bandwidth.

Represent for which purpose. Why do you think, it's not sufficient to handle the laser wave as an ideal monochromatic source (simple CW)?

if that what you think is right , i have no idea about it and no one sure about its form .
