confuse to choose feeding techniques

My name Evyta, and I'm beginner making antenna
my Question is.....
what is the consideration to choose feeding of antenna that suit on your antenna.
whether all antenna can supply with all kinds of feeding technique?
Or a particular antenna can only be supplied with a special type of feeding technique?

when i read some article, they just wr0te the named of feeding techniques that they used, but they didn't give the reason why they chose it.
I have read the some characteristic of feeding techniques, about they strength and weak point. But still, i don't know how to choose it.
i need your explanation.

give us some examples of what you were reading about, your questions are a bit vague

are you wanting to know about feeding ... yagi's ? dish reflectors ? something else ?

here's the paper that i told before.

on this paper the author used the probe feed as the feeding of his antenna.
and my question is, why he use the probe feed technique? what is the reason?
is it possible to use another feeding techniques, like microstrip line or anything else?

I'm sorry for asking me about the basic theory of antenna. I'm the beginner making antenna.
