help me identify an ic inside a tuner

hai,i found a tuner inside a panasonic vcr set.the tuner number is eng57818g1..i need to program an ic which must be a pll inside it.the number written on it is

MT103a
223A12
pls help me to identify the ic so that i can program it

how many pins? do you have photos?
What's it application?

this is the picture.i am trying to tune it to a perticular freq to rceive vhf modulated video signal

an internal pic of the tuner showing the IC is what tony was most likely asking for .... showing us the outside of a silver box isnt really useful ... doesnt tell us anything :(

Most tuners I have had anything to do with.... generally the PLL chip cant be reprogrammed. The best you can try and do is override the internal programming by using a PIC or other micro to control the PLL

yaaaa thats what i am actually trying to do.i want to write data into pll usinf i2c bus and i am using pic.but i need to know the sequence in which i must write the data.i mean first address then divider byte etc.

ok so are you able to supply a clear (NOT blurry) pic of the inside of the tuner so we all can see the IC/IC's in question ?
