Hi
I am also getting the same problem ....even though i am gettin every thing correct like IP3,1-dB compression point,noise figure..etc. but i am not able to get the conversion gain ...i am getting hat as -79dB or somewhat like that.
But i dont have the matching circuit please tell me the way to design the matching circuit and also some of the ways to increase the gain.
Regards,
Manish.

Hi;
Refer to the book by MAAS.
what type of mixer do you design?
in passive mixer the conversion gain is negative but i think you have a mistake in measuring the conversion gain?
can you post your circuit here?

Mixer product of -79 dB is what a linear amplifier does when it has two dissimilar RF inputs. Use more local Osc. power, run the stage into nonlinearity, have an output circuit tuned to the correct frequency.
