Need help on interfacing HID

Hi everyone,

I want to interface an external device as a Keyboard with a PC. So that I can communicate with the PC by giving input to that device.

I need help on this interfacing. Can anybody please give me some reference materials about this.

have you made the hardware ? which looks like a hid to pc?

No not yet. Actually the device is a scanner. I have the scanner and it will communicate with the PC through its GUI software. But I want to design a device which will act as an intermediate between the scanner and PC. I hoope it will be possible. Now I am looking for materials which has information about this.
