send data from network analyzer to pc by using GPIB

i have a problem of received data from network analyzer to pc by using GPIB. someone can give me the way to receiver frequency and S21 from network analyzer to PC (using GPIB). how does this frequency can show in pc

I know two different solutions, use Softplot or Labview.

Use Agilent VEE with a GPIB interface card..

Show me the followings.
(1) Name of Your Network Analyzer
(2) Software name which you use for handling GPIB.

As software for handling GPIB, I don't recommend Agilent VEE, because it is very minor currently.
I recommend Labview than VEE.

If you would like to do more complex data processing, I recommend MATLAB with Instrumentation Control Tool-Box.

However all these are not cheap.
So most cheapest method is a Microsoft VBA in Excell with VISA.

how to check vector network analyzer configure by using visual basic.net

Read documents of R3765CG.
There are many sample codes for Visual Basic.
And LabVIEW driver are supplied for this R3265CG from Advantest.

Simply send "Remote".
If your configuration is correct, "Remote indicator" of R3765CG will be on.

Softplot is a product of Aphena Ltd..

It is very easy to download measurement data from instruments, but doesn't allow to control them for automatic measurements.

Wow, that Softplot is pretty expensive! Anyone know some free shareware to capture things like network analyzer or spectrum analyzer data?

how do I control the GPIB by using Visual Basic.Net. I read some examples from internets, so I do not understand more and more details. Somebody can give the guide to make VB to test instrument through GPIB connection. My instrument is vector network analyzer

Surely read Advantest's documents about "GPIB Command" of R3765CG.
You can see many sample codes for Visual Basic there.

But I think you have to set up GPIB interface and required driver into your PC very before discussing Advantest R3765CG.
