QRP broadband amplifier schematic needed
I need a schematic for a broadband amplifier covering the 1-30MHz range.
Input about 50-100mW
Output 1-2W or 1-10W
Preferably a Class-A non-push pull design
The attatched file is an example of exactly what I need. The problem is that the BLF175 contains toxic material and I do not like to use it. Is there any direct non-toxic replacement for this?
look this simple amplifier with common transistors

Interesting!
But not all the stages of the phonestack one do opetate in class-A. The final amplifier is a push pull class-AB one
Is there any other design for a final in class-A opetation using non-toxic transistors?
hello,
yes, it's true.
Check if something of this transistors can be useful for you:
http://www.sdr-kits.net/USB/RF_FETS.html
RD16HHF1 – Pout >16 Watt RF Out – Gp >16dB - Vdd=12.5V - F=30 MHz -
RD06HHF1 - Pout >6 Watt RF Out – Gp >16dB - Vdd=12.5V - F=30 MHz -
RD00HHS1 – Pout >0.3 Watt RF Out – Gp >19dB -Vdd=12.5V -
Ah!
now this is a good solution for the experimenter, as this is designed for RF and not switching mode. is is very cheap too!
16W out from the RD16HHF1... I quess I could get at least 3-4W in class-A.
Great source, thank you.
I wonder if there is a bipolar transistor for the purpose?
hello neazoi ,
did you finish your amplifier project?
hhow much is the amplifier efficiency?
bye!
No, I build this amplifier http://neazoi.com/qrp/ look near the end of the page.
If is a well performer throughout the HF bands, a good designed amplifier up to about 1W.
I have not yet tested a higher power version
