Hi, everyone, i am designing an oscillator on CMOS process, it's SPEC:
300MHz frequency,
+/-20% accuracy,
45%~55% duty cycle,
50ps RMS jitter
current consumption about 0.5mA (with 1.8V supply voltage)
Now i'm wondering about which kind of topology should i choose. Is relaxation oscillator a good choice, Can this kind of oscillator reach frequency as high as 300MHz with 50% duty cycle?Or should i choose ring oscillator or LC oscillator or other topology? Why?
Please give some suggestions if you have some experiences or you have some idea! Thanks a lot!

You may want to review the literature and patent applications about Mobius CHO (CMOS harmonic oscillator). The patented technique is applied by idt.com It's essentially an on-chip LC oscillator.
