D.I.Y. DVB-T antenna design for 802MHz or (610MHz to 802MHz)

Dear everyone,

I am seeking for a high gain DVB-T antenna design. Have you ever built one? If yes, then share it with us in this topic! It can be useful to others too.

Thanks.

Just built one last week. I went with a modified Gray-Hoverman design. It's semi-directional (has a decent backlobe, but that's ok because I have a few TV stations that are in that general direction).

Here's a link to the website where I found it.
Modelling the Hoverman Antenna with 4NEC2
I used the "Channel 7" mod (VHF/UHF Hoverman by Autofils) at the bottom. The file is a NEC model input file, so install a freeware app like 4nec2 to view it. You can click on wire segments in the viewer to determine their end points for your own construction. Beware, the measurements for NEC models are in meters.

The antenna works fine for my area, channels around 7, 9, 12, 25-35, and 45-52 (about 175-700 MHz). Stations are all within 23.5-27.5 miles away, so no need for an amplifier. The antenna is sitting on top of my entertainment center, so nothing special.

I explored using a dB2 design, but found the Hoverman with channel 7 modification to give me decent performance at the mid-VHF band. The dB2 and dB4 designs are UHF-only, and the mods I've seen to improve them at VHF really hose up the far-field pattern. YMMV.
